A monk of substantial credit, he has dedicated both his life and his deity-ship to his many vows.  His divine status is upheld as proof that promises are worth keeping.  Velde's clerics all take some sort of vow that Velde himself took, the truly dedicated of which take as many as they can. Monks and fighters who value speed and finesse in combat also worship Velde, as his incredible speed, his clerics say, is credit of his faithfulness to his vows. His symbol is just three parallel lines, symbolic of his speed.
